22 - 29 November marks Europe's first HIV Testing Week and NHS
Tayside is proud to be taking part.
The unacceptable reality is that approximately
25% of people living with HIV in Scotland are unaware that they are
HIV positive so we are encouraging people to access testing at
Sexual Health Services or MOT Clinics if they have put themselves at
We are also holding two testing events in Dundee City Centre on Saturday 30 November from 1pm – 4pm in:
What can you do to support HIV testing week?
Please support our campaign by taking the #HIVbasics quiz at www.hivscotland.com/quiz and put this knowledge into action, talk to people about HIV and join us for a test if you have been at risk.
Many myths still exist about HIV but by understanding how HIV is transmitted, how it can be prevented, and the reality of living with HIV today - you can use this knowledge to take care of your own health and the health of others, and ensure you treat everyone living with HIV fairly, and with respect and understanding.
World AIDS Day is also a chance to pick up and wear a red ribbon; a simple but powerful way to challenge the stigma and prejudice surrounding HIV and AIDS.
Keep an eye out for our MOT volunteers who will be out and about on Friday 29 November in Dundee giving out goody bags!
