Whatever is on your mind we are here to help and support you!

Our Health Promotion Specialist can help you with issues such as hate crime, coming out, homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, low-self esteem, support around a diagnosis and telling people about your HIV status and much more. Although we don’t offer counselling services here in Tayside, we can certainly put you in touch with organisations that can help. Terrence Higgins Trust in London provides both online and telephone services. You can create an account and have free sessions with an online counsellor or contact THT Direct, the phone service.

For phone services, click  THT Direct or call on 0808 802 1221.

For online counselling: log onto the website for an online counsellor

You will also find contact details for a number of organisations in our links page that can offer support for a variety of topics.

We know it can feel awkward or scary to talk to someone about your sexual health but please, don’t be embarrassed: our team is experienced and everything you discuss with us is confidential.  Support can be given in a location of your choice: this could be your home, a café/coffee shop, work, school, college, university, at any one of our MOT clinics or at the THT Scotland office in Dundee. It’s up to you!

HIV/Hep C/STI testing: in addition to the MOT clinics in Perth and Dundee, our Health Promotion Specialist can carry out some sexual health tests at the THT Scotland office in Dundee. Please contact us (info below) for more details and appointments. We also provide testing clinics at a selection of events and organisations so please keep an eye on your social media pages for further information.

Many people living with HIV/Hep C may require help to deal with their initial diagnosis or support to live well with them. THT Scotland has a Peer Support programme running in Tayside from the Dundee office that offers a comprehensive level of peer led activities and group support sessions – have a look at the web page here: THT Peer Support Scotland

All support, as with all our services, is completely confidential and the information you share with us will not be shared with any other organisation or person, including NHS Tayside, without your explicit consent.
